I Almost Forgot!!

Tomorrow we have to go to CHKD to have an ultrasound for his kidneys. We follow up with the doctor 0n Monday. Please keep us in your prayers. I am sure he is fine, he has LOTS of puffy teetees but just pray that everything goes well tomorrow and that the dilation has corrected itself. Thanks!!

A Face Only a Mother Could Love

Jack is very expressive. Here are some of the funny faces he already makes...so cute, or maybe just a face that his mother loves :)

Mom stop kissing me!

I hate bathtime...don't I just look pathetic?

Male Model

As you can see, Jack has been trying his hand at some male modeling. He is very cute and sweet and for now seems to really like us. He eats like a champ and we head back to the pediatrician on Tuesday for his 2 week check up and for a weigh in. He had already gained weight past his birth weight at the appointment just a few days after he was born.
I am VERY thankful for my mom who has taken upon herself to get us more settled into our house. While we were in the hospital she, my dad and Leslie got things ready for us. Keep in mind we hadn't set up anything in the nursery because we were waiting on the carpet people to finish up first...well Jack definitely beat the carpet people, so I am fortunate that all these people have come to help us out.
Jack is doing well at night, we still have to wake up every 3-4 hours to feed him but he is usually pretty good about going back to bed. I am tired but am learning to nap/sleep in with him. We both really like the sleep sheep, I would recommend it to anyone! for him it is a nice noise distraction and for me, it helps tune him out...he is very noisy, even when he sleeps :) he also LOVES to be carried around in a sling...he goes right to sleep and this allows me to do things like eat breakfast or fold laundry.

Photographic Debut

Sorry, I have been a little out of commission the last week. Here are some photos of Mr. Jack...I don't have photoshop on my laptop so I still have some editing to do but I knew you would want to see him.

Jack is a very sweet baby. He spends most of his time sleeping, eating and pooping, a true man already. He has been very good so far except for one night when I thought it would be a good idea to have a coke slurpee...NEVER AGAIN...neither of us got any sleep that night.

As you can see he looks exactly like his daddy...I am still not convinced he is mine...maybe he has my ears?

Barely Awake

This weekend me moved into the new house!!! it was definitely exhausting and I am barely awake while sitting at my desk at work today....but...it is done!! My mom, Bev, and Lou and Les kicked butt and we wouldn't even be close without them! There are MANY empty rooms in the house but it really doesn't bother me. I will post some before and after pictures for those of you interested. John was awesome and painted the baby's room and our room this weekend...it is finally starting to feel like it is ours :)

Too Good Not to Share

Don't you agree?

And now you know why we call him Vaughanster the Monster!

Long Day, Happy Endings

Yesterday was a VERY stressful day at the Watson household. We had a lot to accomplish and not a whole lot of time to accomplish it. We started out at the new house for our walk through and reinspection...of course this didn't start when it was supposed to because the sellers were there and were mad and refusing to leave...John stayed, I had to run off to Chesapeake for my first doctor's appointment of the day with the OB...no real news there unfortunately. My blood pressure is still really high, I guess I haven't been doing a very good job at relaxing but who has time for that? And I am only dilated 1 cm, which is practically nothing and could be that way for weeks. Next week I get to have another ultrasound to check out the baby's kidneys and see how big this baby is...I am fearful of how big it is getting because it certainly seems to be out of room. The good news, the baby has dropped a little, yay for that...After lunch we headed to CHKD to meet the doctor in the surgical urology department. That actually went pretty well and we are relieved. Not much for us to do until after the baby is born, we will go back when the baby is 2 weeks old for an ultrasound on the baby's kidneys...maybe it will all be fixed by then?

We had plenty of obstacles yesterday with the sellers of the house but finally around 4:30 we closed and the house is ours! We are officially poor but ecstatic! Baby just needs to stay put at least until Monday so we can get moved in.
37 weeks pregnant...ready to pop!

What Happened?

Back in May, while on a beautiful beach celebrating the marriage of Katie and Brad, I had a heart to heart with my soon to be doctor friend, Kedar...I think he was in an OB rotation and was full of interesting information. His main concern was telling me all about incontinence and how that was going to be happening to me pretty soon...I was only 20 weeks at that point and luckily for me still haven't had a problem with that. My biggest concern was when my belly button would pop out. I was worried it would stick out nastily and be gross looking...little did I know that actually it would just keep stretching and be pulled to capacity...only because I, myself, am so interested in the weird workings of pregnancy am I willing to post this photo for you...so...here is my belly button...stretched to the end! Enjoy!

Admit it, it IS kind of weird, isn't it?
