Annie

Annie has become a big girl over night.  She is now fully potty trained (what!!??) and sleeping in a big girl bed too!  She talks but a storm, likes to take care of everyone's booboos, and is a crazy dancer.  Still very much a lover of "SNACK" and is learning to keep up with her brother.  Annie requires less sleep than Jack, but is getting better at sleeping past 6 am.

Some videos for those bored at work :)

Jack

Last night at bedtime John asked Jack who he wanted to marry when he grew up.  He asked if he would rather marry Caroline or Maggie.  Much to our surprise he said "Mommy."  Love that sweet boy!!

For Spring Break this year we headed back down to my grandmother's condo in Vero Beach, Florida.  Yes, we still do spring break even though we graduated from college 9 years ago!!  We are getting so old :)  Anyway, the trip was fantastic.  All of the kids got along, no small feat for 5 kids under the age of 6!  After a very long extended winter ( I am telling you the groundhog was wrong this year!), the kids were trilled to run around barefoot in shorts and swim in the pool.

Annie is a totally different child this year!  She tries her best to keep up with the big kids, pictured above leading the "relay" race...They still haven't figured that one out.

Disney Pirate Dinner at Disney Vero Beach

This little guy LOVES characters.  His sister was terrified!!
We were THRILLED to have Uncle Cliff there with us for part of the trip!

Look at the air Jack gets!  I was so worried since I didn't have him in swim lessons that he wouldn't be able to swim without a float.  I was definitely wrong.  He always takes it up to the next level when he is with his cousins, this time was no different!

These two got a long REALLY well.  Especially considering the close quarters of the condo.

Annie loving her uncle.

Easter Egg hunt

John's Island has a huge egg hunt and carnival.  The kids had the best time!

Didn't actually read this strap until we were on our way home.  I typically don't use our Bugaboo bee anymore.  It is really a better stroller for a little baby.  But we didn't have room in the car for my running stroller so I figured this would do.  The wheels were bouncing around when I tried to run.  Now I know why!!

Annie's demeanor on the airplane was MUCH improved from when she went to visit her Godmother in August.  It is tricky keeping a 2 year old in a seat belt the whole time but she did great.  My recommendations if anyone is curious is dumbdumbs, stickers and a kindle.  You are welcome.

I wish spring break would come more than once a year.  But thankfully summer is coming, this week's weather is definitely a reflection of that!  And the Watsons are READY!!

This Girl

This girl (screaming no as I take her picture) turns 2 on Monday.  How is this even possible?  People used to tell me before I had children that once you have them it is like they were always there, that you can't remember you life before them.  I haven't found that to be true.  I remember life before children; sleeping in, going out, sitting on the beach all day frying.  But when I look back on that life before children all I see is how boring life was.  Don't get me wrong, yesterday was a doozie.  In the span of 24 hours the kids had managed to take every scrap of clothes from Jack's room and put it in my hamper, after of course taking all my dirty clothes and throwing them around my room, tore out all the art supplies from the downstairs closet, ripped all the clothes off the hangers in Annie's closet where they were found "hiding" and finished up the day but plugging their bathroom sink while trying to "fill up the dump trunk", which resulted in a huge flood all the way out in the hallway.  Not their best day.  But when I think back on yesterday I have to smile.  A year ago Jack was living to torment Annie.  Now they are thick as thieves and are constantly up to no good...together.  I kind of love that.

Annie has turned into a real girl over night.  She does NOT like to be called baby.  She is "Nene"...yes, like the housewife.  She loves to take care of her babies and watch any Disney movie (favorites including: Tinkerbell, Cinderella, all Toy Stories, Cars2 and Wallee).  Girlfriend also loves to dance and jump.  She is talking up a STORM. This girl has a lot of personality and sass!

Jack has had the biggest transformation this year.  He is still wild and constantly testing boundaries but he is the sweetest boy.  He is very bright and remembers everything, no redirecting this child.  He loves to do puzzles, he would do them all day over and over if we let him.  Jack is very strong willed, but we are hoping that will serve him well one day.
