Big Week!!

This is a big week for us. Wednesday I have an OB check up, meet with the pediatric urologist at CHKD, have a reinspection on the house, final walk-thru, and closing all in one day!! phew, exhausts me just to think about it!! I am officially 37 weeks pregnant, which for those of you who aren't familiar with baby speak it means that I am 9 months, 1 week pregnant AND the baby is now FULL TERM!!! No real movement that I can tell towards labor but the OB appointment should let me know if it is imminent or not...I am hoping to make it at least until labor day...which would be ironic, right? because on top of everything else on our plate we are planning on moving Saturday!!! I am so thankful for all of my amazing friends who have offered to come and help! I am pretty much worthless at this point but we are hiring some laborers to come and do the heavy lifting...we just need help with the little things like clothes...and for those of you who know me well, I have A LOT of clothes :) So if you are bored or feel pity for the largely pregnant lady, I would love your help!

We're Buying a House!!!

After searching and debating for over a year and a half, John and I are really going to buy a house!!! We definitely have to give a shout out to our realtor, Melanie Rice, she was incredibly supportive and patient during this whole process and helped us to find a "steal"....The house is down the street from the house I grew up in and I love the street. We are closing on September 2nd, right around the corner!! and hope to move that weekend, labor day weekend...the sellers are the original owners so they have taken very good care of the house which is nice...the decor isn't really me so I know this house will be a work in progress...but...we are SOOO excited!!! The baby is due one month from today so it is going to be tight!! I will work on posting some before and after photos, some of the wall paper and the beautiful turquoise toilet will have to go :)

How Big?

How big is the belly you might ask....SOOO BIG! My niece is such a crack up, if you ask her where the baby is she says "in your tummy....BIG TUMMY"

Baby Update

Yesterday I went in for my 34 week tummy check...yes, you read right, 34 weeks!! ahhhh!!! Everything is looking good and I actually got to meet with my doctor, Dr. Puritz, so I was glad about that. I told her I am getting very anxious that my baby will be too big. She said while she can't predict what is too big for one person, she is going to order a follow up ultrasound in a few weeks to check on baby...So that makes me feel MUCH better. The baby is VERY strong and constantly moving...have I mentioned that I am convinced that I am having a Cliff? It is hard to believe this baby can get much bigger in there, I feel like I am at capacity :)

We Are Really Having A Baby!!

Yesterday at work I was surprised by my co-workers with my 4th shower!! Yes, I know, it is ridiculous...John and I are so blessed to have so many great friends and families supporting us as the arrival of Baby W gets closer. So we officially have EVERYTHING you could possibly need to be ready for this baby and anything else we need I am going trek out to Babiesrus with Leslie to get. We still don't have the crib and changing table but Leslie is giving us one of her sets at the end of August. Last night we started to put things together, the swing, bouncy seat, car seat, etc. It would be awesome if we could find a house before this baby comes, fingers crossed!! Libbie was VERY distraught while John was putting all this gear together...maybe her last family had a baby and that is why they had to get rid of her? She seems to know something is coming.

Monday night we went to the hospital for our tour...John said I looked like a caged animal. I guess it's that the tour made the whole thing so real...and I had heard such great things about Sentara Leigh and the rooms were so spartan, to say the least...John thinks that I thought I was going to be checking into the Sanderling or something...I guess he is right...either way, on thing is for certain...there is DEFINITELY a baby coming...and soon!!

What is this picture you might ask....it is the newest idea for a Halloween costume! This is a Kate Gosselin wig!!! Hysterical and definitely a good idea. They could have made the highlights streakier though, don't you think?
